Light for Your Day
I woke up
the other morning and one of my very first thoughts was that I should again
read Kenneth Hagin’s book, “What to Do When FAITH Seems Weak & VICTORY
Lost.” I am doing that now. For a devotional this week, let me share with
you ten principles he gives in this easy-to-read, but powerful book. He says in his preface that these ten steps
“when taken in sequence, will bring you out of defeat and into certain
victory!” Sounds like something we
should pay attention to, doesn’t it? It
would serve you well to order a copy of this book (Rhema.org or Amazon.com) and
read it all the way through. Here are
the steps:
1. Recognize the source of the opposition
as being Satan—and stand your
ground.
2. Be sure the promises of God—the
Scriptures—cover the things you ask for
and are believing for.
3. Be sure you are not living in
sin—practicing wrongdoing.
4. Be sure no doubt or unbelief is
permitted in your life concerning the
promises of God.
5. Sincerely desire the benefit you have
asked of God.
6. Ask God in faith, nothing wavering,
believing that what is asked is yours.
7. Do not tolerate for one single moment a
thought to the contrary but
it is yours.
8. Count the thing done that you have
asked.
9. Give glory to God even before it comes
into manifestation.
10. Act as though you have received what you
asked.
